Whatsa going on??

Okay, forgive me, I haven't been on much this week. I have been closely monitoring my baby Smoky's Blood Glucose levels. We may or may not be getting close to remission with his diabetes! He hasn't been needing much insulin and so I am praying that his little pancreas has decided to finally start working again. Please pray for us!

In other news...I am back at school and had so much fun driving in the wicked snow for 2 freakin' hours to the eastern campus of my college for my MBA seminar. (It is supposed to be a 25 minute drive) Oh well, its only for 2 more weeks. Then I will be back at my main campus which is happily located 5 minutes from my home.

Oh did I mention it was only z-e-r-o degrees here in the Cleve today...Oy Vey! No, I am not Jewish, but I like the phrase. I love the Jewish culture though. I have studied so many religions that I can appreciate all of them for what they are and what they bring to the world. Don't ask what I am anymore because I don't know. I was raised a Catholic, but have come to the distinct realization that I am just me right now. It's not about DOING, it's about BEING as my brilliant professor Param would say.

Speaking of my professor, I am trying to find a book he has asked us to read by Wed. and I cannot FIND it!! Anyone happen to have Tao: The Pathless Path by Osho?? If you do, please bring it to me immediately because I have to have it read front to back by Wed. Of course I can buy it online, but I won't receive it by Wed. No stores have it around here, not even the college bookstore, or any store for that matter. So I thought I would turn to the library in my brilliance and found out even the LIBRARY doesn't have it. What's a girl trying to get educated to do? Hmmm.. any ideas...??

Okay, the next thing to vent. The Golden Globes...yes... I have to comment about it because the most talented actor of my generation has been snubbed again. I am positive you know who I am speaking of, but he deserves a mention in my blog because 1.) He is super talented, and 2.) He is an awesome advocate for the environment. If you don't know who I am talking about already it obviously is Leonardo DiCaprio. Yes, my future husband! But not for the above reasons or the fact that he was on my wall the minute he hit Teen Beat magazine and I drooled while I watched Growing Pains, one of the Critters movies, and something called Parenthood. I don't care what anyone thinks. I am putting it out there because most of my closest peeps already know this about me. I DO love Kate Winslet...loved her since I saw Heavenly Creatures...and I am glad her and Leo can do another movie together. Can't wait to see next week. I'm sorry, but even though I haven't seen it, I know he should have WON Best Actor in a Drama at the Golden Globes. However, I am utterly ecstatic to see Kate Winslet win 2 categories in one night...good for her. LOVE her. She is top in my favorite actresses. But thankfully, not knowing what to say, she did anyway in her acceptance speech, which was awesome! I cannot wait to see that next Friday...I will report my thoughts on it.

Tomorrow is My Bloody Valentine in 3D. Tried to see it today, but the theater I went to didn't have it in 3D~wasn't that the point of the film~duh~oh well. tomorrow is my review....

I better go...I might blog your brains out! Not that I think even one person reads this, but there is freedom in getting my thoughts out so I can think about other things. If you did read, agreed, or disagreed, I care, but I don't. thanks for visiting!

Getting Unburied!

Hi all~

Well, yes I mentioned that Cleveland got pelted with snow. I should have brought out a damn ruler to show that I had at least a foot of snow on my car. I know, look at the pic, I would be like what car?! They claim we got less than a foot, but I won't believe it for a second!

Tonight's post will be small...just wanted to share some pics of the snow and my almost 11 year old baby Smoky. I love him so much and pray he gets better. We fight his diabetes everyday!

I have other things to bitch about, especially after the Golden Globes, so I WILL be back to complain and praise.

Trapped!

Hey all~

I just want to state that I hate snow! It might be for some, but it is definitely not in my blood! Hey, I was born in California so I have an excuse...I think I was meant to live there and not here in Cleveland, Ohio. We are currently getting pelted with a few feet of snow and my car is buried!

I am technically not trapped. I could go out and spend 30 minutes cleaning off the car, and another hour to get where ever I need to go, but is it worth it? I panic when I drive in the white stuff. Especially since it appears the roads are not cleared off.

The tree top can't even handle the snow...it is bent sideways!

I am definitely California dreamin' right now.....

The Latest

Hey all~

Saturday was yet another thrilling performance by my little sister, Nicole. We all hung out at Scorekeepers while she belted out the songs with the band All Fired Up. Okay, I admit it! I have a little more time on my hands before I go back to school next week so I thought I would talk about one of my other addictions~the big bad TV!!

I don't know what everyone is watching these days, but I know what I am watching and thank goodness for my DVR! Whew!

I know some of the shows I mention may be objectionable to some, but they are completely decedent entertainment to me!

For example, all the VH1 reality show spin offs! Utterly ridiculous, but I can't help myself. The latest ones were Rock of Love Charm School~I am so glad Sharon kicked Megan's ass at the reunion show...loved it! Real Chance at Love~another ridiculous spin off, but thoroughly entertaining. I mean, really, who would want New York's sloppy seconds? Yuck. Speaking of New York, I am truly sick of seeing all her spin off shows. Her 15 minutes is UP!

Now for MTV...I love the Hills...I hate to admit it because it is not 100% reality, but I am hooked. I am also hooked on the City...I am totally waiting to see if Whitney will ever crack...haven't you ever noticed the girl just doesn't get mad..ever! I wanna see her give one of those socialites a beat down...hehe...evil I know, but she really doesn't seem to get pissed off at anything ever! Did you ever notice how she pronounces her "ing", or am I the only one who notices this??

I am also 100% behind the Real World~Brooklyn~because I have watched every season of the Real World and it's been on for over 20 seasons! The Real World was the first reality show~~~ever!! MTV is 100% responsible for the reality show phenomenon! I miss Road Rules, but love the challenges when they have them on. MTV does have some ridiculous spin offs as well, but most are pretty good.

I am just wondering when I am going to get my reality show...I think it would be really entertaining....

Anyhow...I can't wait for LOST to be back on...I am truly addicted to that show! Also, I am curious about SOBER HOUSE on VH1...something tells me those peeps are not going to stay sober! I am also still hanging onto ER...in its last season...and like Ellen on her daytime talk show...it will be George watch 2009! I have heard rumors...

And speaking of daytime TV....I love Days of Our Lives...I swear I could write the scripts to this show! Everything that happens on there I have called it! My latest prediction is that Nicole will end up somehow with Sami's baby to pass off as her own. Anyone want to take bets?!

Oh yeah I can see why Ellen won the People's Choice Award for best talk show host. Her show is utterly hilarious! Okay, someone needs to explain to me why there are a billion court shows on during the day. What is up with that? I actually lost count when trying to add them up! I guess we are just a litigious society! I do love Judge Judy...she is such a bitch and I love how she always turns it around on the plaintiff!! hehe....

Wow...I went on a rampage...whew...sorry...I will stop myself now...but give me your thoughts...I know I left out a TON of shows that I watch...yes...Hi, my name is Jen and I am a TV addict!

I know there is more to life than TV and I do believe some shows may actually make a person dumber, but I needed a break...working on my MBA is not easy and my break from school was very nice!

Oh yeah and I am going to be an auntie again! So exciting!!

Back up and runnin!

Hello all~

I got my PC back good as new. Thanks to my very dear friend who was nice enough to help me out with his expertise! So I am free to blog to my heart's content! I have so many things to say, but not much time this morning! I will have to come back later and post on some things!

Computer Addiction?

Ok, this sucks, I might actually have to give up my computer today and I am in a state of panic! Could this be a computer addiction??

My poor computer may have some bugs and I have a dear friend that is very kindly willing to take it and fix it and I can't seem to let it go!! ARGH!

I am going to try...

Anyhow, there is nothing like waking up to the sound of a cat puking...which is how my day began...but then I read a wonderful blog and realized something more important..

I love my kitties and I would miss them terribly if they were not here puking on my floor, cuddling with me in bed, or doing all the silly things they do....so am vowing not to get so mad at the puking or hairballs.

Life is like one big hairball anyway!

And those who know me, know about my almost 11 year old kitty Smoky, or aka MoMo, who is diabetic and needs insulin twice a day. I will updating on his progress on here too because it is a big part of my life right now. It has definitely brought me and my furbaby closer together as we fight his disease.

There is a really good resource for anyone that is going through what we are going through and I will put a link to it on my page (http://www.felinediabetes.com/) if it weren't for the kind folks on there I would have no clue on how to handle feline diabetes. I am eternally grateful to all on there!

Well I guess I have to give up my PC for now...right when I am getting into this blogging...its fun...

Blog Virgin!

Hi all!

Okay, so I have written many online articles and reviews, but I finally decided I needed to do a blog so here I am losing my blog virginity. I will probably blog about anything and everything I can think of because I need an outlet! Keeping all my random thoughts in my head is taking up too much space and I need to clear out some brain space so I can put more information in it!

Since I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, I really need to get my random thoughts out there because I value my education immensely and need to get my thoughts out.

So, I hope the New Year will find everyone happy and healthy. Tell me what you plan to do to make 2009 the best year ever?! I wanna know, really! What are people doing, saying? Are you hoping the economy rebounds? Well...that was a dumb question!

Has anyone been laid off? Talk to me people!
